“GRAPE”
Concept
The new ‘grape’ complex is designed as a mixture of tradition and innovation, both architecturally and culturally, enhancing the indissoluble bond between man and land.
Tradition
- Architecture: The design of the complex takes inspiration from traditional Tuscan farms (Podere), characterized by ancient vernacular farmhouses and local materials. The use of simple volumes and respect for authentic rural forms help to create a visual link with the surrounding landscape.
- Landscape: The project integrates harmoniously with nature and the surrounding landscape, characterized by centuries-old vineyards, hills and countryside. This dialogue with the territory underlines the importance of the bond between man and the land, highlighting the beauty and authenticity of the place.
- Local: The complex is part of the local tradition linked to the production, sale and tasting of wine, as well as agricultural activities and the care of the vineyards. This connection with the cultural roots of the region gives the project an authentic and meaningful soul.
Innovation
- Architectural: Despite respect for tradition, the design of the new building incorporates innovative elements, such as the use of glass and contemporary volumes.
- Cultural: The complex aims to be more than just a place for wine tasting. Thanks to a variety of activities and initiatives as relaxation, food, wine, entertainment, cultural events, smart working and slow and experiential tourism, wine enthusiasts and digital nomads.
The project is positioned at the center of new economic model and sustainable lifestyle.
This combination of tradition and innovation is also reproduced in the architectural design of the new building. The concept is to symbolize and reinterpret the architecture of the ancient rural complexes and the surrounding wine landscape.
The new “Grape” building is conceived as a multipurpose center that combines traditional activities related to wine tasting with new experiences and opportunities.
Through careful design and use of spaces, the complex offers a welcoming and inspiring environment for tourists. The harmony between the new concept of tourist tasting and the traditional and historical part of the territory is reflected not only in the architecture, but also in the activities proposed, which range from relaxation to fun, from culture to sustainability.
From a design point of view, the first founding act of the new building is the construction of a central building (Podere) and a series of satellite buildings around the central block that follow the shape of the grape.
The architecture of the complex is designed to maximize panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Large windows and open spaces allow visitors to enjoy breathtaking views of the vineyards and Tuscan hills from every corner of the building. This visual connection with nature underlines the importance of the landscape as a fundamental element of the sensorial and cultural experience offered by the project.
